You are probably sick of seeing these pictures of our house, but I can’t help myself. These photos will come in handy in a few years when the kids ask me what happened to their college savings.
With 14 foot ceilings and a wall full of windows, this kitchen can get mighty hot in the middle of the day. Not to mention bright. Before we hung these blinds, we needed to wear sunglasses when we sat down for lunch on the weekends. Originally we had white horizontal blinds on the bottom windows and the top windows were bare.
And the color I painted the rest of the kitchen is the same color we have on the fireplace trim and two of the living room walls.
Now if we could just get the right screw size (Jody has been to Lowe’s THREE times this week and we still didn’t get it right!), we can finish installing the new handles we bought for our kitchen cabinets last weekend in Roseville, and our kitchen will be complete. Except for the new kitchen table that is waiting for me at Crate & Barrel that I will go buy as soon as my husband will let me spend an entire month’s salary on it. (In other words, I will NEVER have that table)
Oh well. Table or no table, my kitchen is very pretty now.
See kids? I know your education is important, but aren’t you happy that Mommy has a nice kitchen?
