Tonight is the beginning of a weeklong volleyball event here in Reno that brings over 10,000 volleyball players to our area.

We’ve done this before, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting.

As thousands of people piled into UNR’s Mackay Stadium, we watched from the stands as Bree and Bailey’s teams represented their Club in ‘Survivor’ and ’80’s’ garb and I tried to restrain Janey as she danced to the music on the top row of the bleachers amusing everyone around us with her groove.

Luckily the triple digit temperatures dropped to a cool, calm 95 degrees, making the sharing of the bleachers with thousands of strangers bearable. Kind of.

Happy Father’s Day to the man of our house. The one that drags us to Starbucks every morning and won’t let us chew with our mouths open.

The one that thinks chores are a waste of time and we should just go have fun already. The one that changes the batteries on the fire alarms and captures that annoying fly buzzing against the TV screen late at night.
